International Plywood & Lumber was founded in 1983 in Miami, Florida — when South Florida’s construction and cabinet-making trades needed a reliable wholesale source for quality sheet goods and hardwood lumber they could count on.
From the beginning, the business was built on a straightforward principle: professional-grade products, honest wholesale pricing, and a team that actually knows materials. Over four decades, that approach has never changed — only the inventory has grown.
Today, from our warehouse at 7340 NW 56th St in Doral, we supply cabinet shops, marine builders, contractors, furniture manufacturers, and millwork companies throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties with the same commitment to quality and service that the company was built on.
Four Decades of Growth
A timeline of milestones that shaped who we are today.
International Plywood & Lumber opens in South Florida, supplying domestic plywood and hardwood lumber to the local trade community — contractors, builders, and cabinet shops.
South Florida’s thriving boatbuilding and yacht-refit industry drove demand for marine-grade panels — Okoume, Meranti BS1088 — and imported exotic hardwoods including Teak, Sapele, and Wenge.
Expanded warehouse footprint at our Doral location. Added full forklift-equipped same-day delivery service to job sites, cabinet shops, and receiving docks across Miami-Dade and Broward.
Grew the product line to include MDO, MDF, fire-retardant plywood, Baltic birch, edge banding, and wood veneers — becoming a one-stop wholesale source for Miami’s cabinet, millwork, and marine trades.
Over 43 years in, we remain family-oriented and locally focused — with the same commitment to quality products, expert knowledge, and reliable same-day delivery that has kept South Florida’s trade professionals coming back since 1983.
